Bayview-Hunters Point
BAYVIEW-HUNTERS POINT
The Bayview-Hunters Point Redevelopment effort is the largest in San Francisco since World War II. The Lennar Corporation will build up to 10,000 homes, including 3,500 affordable housing units, up to 2 million square feet of commercial space, and up to 750,000 square feet of retail space.
In hopes of helping San Francisco retain the 49ers, Lennar Corp will set aside $100 million to help finance a new stadium.
OPEN SPACE
The Bayview-Hunters Point Project will include over 400 acres of new open space. Neighborhoods will be built around a shoreline park and trail system that will incorporate features of both Crissy Field and Golden Gate Park.
